“With AIMES, we are adding a decisive component to our product portfolio. After all, AI-based solutions are an essential factor in the manufacturing IT of the future”, says Thorsten Strebel, Vice President Products and Consulting at MPDV and now also Managing Director of AIMES.
Together, the companies want to use PerfectPattern’s software components for Artificial Intelligence in the environment of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) HYDRA as well as MPDV’s Manufacturing Manufacturing Integration Platform (MIP) and launch new products for Manufacturing Analytics as well as Planning, Scheduling and Prediction.
“Our technologies, such as the Automated Data Science platform PHYTHIA and the decision making technology CORTEX, have already proven themselves in the graphic arts industry. We are now bringing both of these technologies into the collaboration with MPDV under the umbrella of AIMES. We are very excited about the solutions we will develop together,” says Fabian Rüchardt, CEO of PerfectPattern.
PerfectPattern is a provider of highly innovative technologies and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence. The methods for autonomous machine learning developed by PerfectPattern contribute to increased efficiency and error prevention in production.

PerfectPattern was founded in 2012 as a technology and software company based in Munich. The company develops software solutions that combine unique mathematical algorithms for process optimization with artificial intelligence. They enable the fully automated planning of almost any production process in real time – making the “smart factory” a reality. The company pursues three fundamental goals: Flexibility, adherence to schedules and reduction of production costs.
With PYTHIA and CORTEX, PerfectPattern has developed two revolutionary AI technologies PYTHIA is a platform product for pattern recognition, time series prediction and anomaly detection in real-time data streams. Through the innovative combination of methods from deep learning, stochastics and quantum field theory, among others, it independently finds even the most hidden patterns. CORTEX is a decision making technology that uses reinforcement learning to make decisions based on global objective functions.
